SaidTrace JP

HOW IT WORKS

From your first file
to an everyday archive.

Keep recording your way. SaidTrace organizes audio once it reaches your Mac. Here is what happens next.

01 / INPUT

Bring audio to your Mac.

You do not need a dedicated device. Each source has a different first step; everything then enters the same archive.

RECORDER

Connect a recorder

Select an audio file your Mac can read. After first-time approval, a compatible removable drive can trigger import while the app is running.

IPHONE

AirDrop a Voice Memo

Send a recording from your iPhone to your Mac, then import it. SaidTrace does not read recordings directly from your iPhone.

FILES

Choose a local file

Import a supported audio file already on your Mac. The file matters more than the recorder brand.

02 / PROCESS

What happens after import.

  1. 01

    Keep the original

The recording stays in your Mac archive. Its audio and later text remain connected as one record.

  2. 02

    Transcribe locally

Whisper detects the language and turns speech into text on your Mac. Transcription does not require uploading audio to a SaidTrace cloud.

  3. 03

Make notes with your chosen AI

Use a local model through LM Studio or Ollama. If you select an external AI, the text needed for processing is sent to that provider.

  4. 04

Find, ask, and return to audio

Review Daily and Weekly, find a record in Search, and question it in Ask. Return to the source when you need to verify an answer.

03 / EVERYDAY USE

Automation starts with your approval.

You first approve the drive and import behavior. Connection-triggered import runs only while the app is running; unapproved devices do not start processing.
